New definition of speed

By reaching up to 2 900 MB/s transfer speed, IRDM Ultimate brings the new definition of SSD for enthusiasts and pro users. Additionally, maximum bandwidth of 270 000 operations per second, translates into unmatched comfort, no matter if you’re a gamer, video expert or photographer.

New possibilites with NVMe

NVM Express communication protocol was designed from the ground up to achieve the potential of fast flash based storage media. By utilizing it in IRDM Ultimate SSD, we were able to extract the maximum performance from its memory, controller and PCIe Gen 3 x4 interface. NVMe drastically reduces latency and queuing to bring much better responsiveness vs. AHCI-based SSD.

Flexible form factor

IRDM Ultimate is available in M.2 2280 form factor with PCIe interface. IRDM Ultimate SSD is available in M.2 2280 form factor with PCIe interface. It can be connected into new desktop motherboards and laptops with compatible M.2 port which support NVMe standard. The drive comes with heatsink which reduces the operating temperature and improves sustained performance. Additionally, IRDM Ultimate is available with HHHL AIC adapter, which extends its compatibility to many PCs without the M.2 slot.

IRDM ULTIMATE is available only with set of accessories i.e. with heatsink and HHHL adapter.

The purpose of heatsink is to reduce the SSD temperature which reduces the effect of thermal throttling. Thermal throttling effects in the SSD performance drop once it reaches certain temperature.
