SSD IRDM PRO gen.2 provides best-in-class performance and reliability. The refreshed disk is equipped with 3D TLC NAND Flash memory and an excellent quad-core PS3112-S12 Phison controller. Detailed firmware guarantee full software data protection, consistency and security during use.

A new definition of reliability

Up to 1.5 million hours of average time between failures and best-in-class durability of up to 555GB/day for 5 years – this is a new definition of reliability among SSDs.

Advanced data security

The new quad-core PS3112-S12 Phison controller provides full data security as it runs and unique features such as SmartRefresh™, SmartFlush™ and GuaranteedFlash™. The options guarantee data security and integrity in the event of their disruption or sudden voltage drop.

* TBW (Total Bytes Written) – SSD durability, a parameter that determines the maximum amount of data that can be saved on a drive until the warranty expires. The TBW parameter is defined in the SSD product specifications.

IRDM Pro Gen2 is a refreshed version of the IRDM PRO disk with the same purpose as the IRDM PRO disk. The change that took place was the replacement of MLC technology with the latest generation of dies produced in 3D TLC technology. These dies show the same level of endurance during tests, and when combined with the latest Phison PS3112-S12 controller, they allow to have the same level of data transfer as IRDM PRO Gen1 disks. IRDM Pro Gen2 drives are still covered by a 5-year warranty, but it is limited by the TBW parameter, which varies depending on the disk capacity.

Both disks are based on high-quality components, which results in speed and endurance. The main difference between them is the built-in DRAM memory in the IRDM Pro disk. It is intended for professional applications, while IRDM is a solution for everyday use.
