CUDIMM (Clocked Unbuffered DIMM) and CSODIMM (Clocked Small Outline DIMM) are a new generation of DDR5 modules equipped with a dedicated Clock Driver (CKD) chip.
Compared to standard UDIMM/SODIMM, they offer better signal integrity and more stable clocking, resulting in higher operating frequencies and improved reliability.

CKD (Clock Driver) is a dedicated integrated circuit responsible for amplifying the clock signal and distributing it to individual DRAM chips. This ensures all memory chips operate synchronously, improving overall system stability — especially at high speeds and under heavy workloads.

Yes — GOODRAM CUDIMM and CSODIMM modules are fully compliant with the JEDEC DDR5 standard, making them compatible with most modern motherboards.
However, to take full advantage of their features, the motherboard must support modules with a Clock Driver (CKD). CKD support is currently available on the latest platforms based on:
• Intel Core Ultra (“Arrow Lake”) processors and Z890 chipsets
• AMD processors with the AM5 socket (Ryzen 7000 series and newer)
Since CKD support is being gradually introduced, it is recommended to check the latest BIOS updates before installation.
