Goodram RIVAL CHARGE. DDR5 for a configuration built to handle multiple fronts
22 September 2026Goodram is expanding its gaming-focused RIVAL series with RIVAL Charge DDR5 memory. The new DIMM modules are designed for computers based on DDR5 platforms, including both new systems and upgraded configurations. The series includes variants with speeds of up to 6800 MT/s and latencies starting from CL30, as well as kits with a total capacity of up to 64 GB.

Gaming today is about more than just the game
A game, Discord, a browser with multiple tabs, gameplay recording, streaming and system monitoring — in a modern gaming configuration, RAM rarely serves just one application.
RIVAL Charge DDR5 was designed with exactly this kind of workload in mind. Higher memory bandwidth is beneficial when multiple operations are running in parallel, while the right capacity gives the system more headroom when several demanding applications are active at the same time.
That is why RIVAL Charge lets users choose not only the frequency and latency, but also the capacity that best reflects how the computer is actually used.
6800 MT/s makes an impression. But it is not the only number that matters
When choosing DDR5 memory, it is easy to focus primarily on frequency. However, the MT/s figure alone does not tell the whole story about a module’s performance characteristics. Latency, specified among others by CAS Latency (CL), is equally important. RIVAL Charge will be available in 5600 and 6000 MT/s configurations with latencies starting from CL30, 6400 MT/s CL32, and 6800 MT/s CL34. Selected CL36 variants will also be available.
This broad range makes it possible to match the memory to the capabilities of the processor and motherboard instead of reducing the choice to the highest available MT/s value. When building a computer, the entire set of parameters matters — speed, latency, compatibility and capacity.
The capacity range is equally broad. RIVAL Charge will be available as individual 8, 16 and 32 GB modules, as well as dual-channel kits: 2 × 8 GB, 2 × 16 GB and 2 × 32 GB. This makes it possible to build configurations ranging from 16 GB for less demanding systems, through a versatile 32 GB for gaming and multitasking, up to 64 GB for users who game, stream, edit content or work with more demanding applications on the same computer.
DDR5 for where a new configuration begins
RIVAL Charge expands the Goodram RIVAL family with a solution designed for DDR5 platforms. Existing RIVAL DDR4 modules remain an option for users upgrading computers based on the older standard without having to replace the processor and motherboard.
RIVAL Charge, on the other hand, is aimed at new and upgraded configurations using DDR5. The range from 5600 to 6800 MT/s makes it possible to choose memory for both more straightforward gaming PCs and higher-performance systems also used for streaming or content creation.
Profiles instead of manual parameter tuning
RIVAL Charge supports Intel XMP 3.0 and AMD EXPO profiles. On a compatible platform, they allow users to apply predefined frequency, latency and voltage settings without having to configure each parameter manually.
After selecting the appropriate profile in the BIOS, the user can activate settings prepared for a specific memory variant. This is particularly useful for those who want to take advantage of the modules’ capabilities without manually configuring individual DRAM parameters.
Red is only the beginning
The first RIVAL Charge modules feature a red-and-black heat spreader and a black PCB, maintaining the distinctive gaming aesthetic of the RIVAL family. This colour variant is only the beginning, however — Goodram plans to expand the RIVAL Charge line with additional colour options, giving users greater freedom to match the memory to the overall look of their system.
This is particularly relevant in computers where components increasingly form part of the visual design — from the colour of the case and cooling system to the motherboard, cables and other components. Design, however, does not come at the expense of compatibility. The modules are 32.85 mm high, and their low-profile design makes them easier to use in configurations with larger CPU coolers, where space above the DIMM slots may be limited.
Like other Goodram RIVAL memory modules, RIVAL Charge DDR5 is covered by the manufacturer’s lifetime warranty.
