SSD to the maximum

Wilk Elektronik, owner of GOODRAM memory brand and the only manufacturer of RAM memory and SSD in CEE region, has announced a release of new enthiusasts-oriented product range – Iridium. First line of products consist of SSD, which will be released in March under the names Iridium and Iridium Pro.

Iridium SSD utilize synchronous MLC NAND and quad-core Phison S10 controller, focusing on sustained performance, low latency and software-driven data protection algorithms in case of sudden power losses. These SSD were built to ensure the maximum reliability and endurance in long-term scenarios. MTBF has been set at 2mln hours, whereas TBW has been specified at up to 1000TB for Iridium PRO.

Price, Performance, Reliability – this is the order in which we see, average consumer base his decision while purchasing an SSD. Comparing to other SSD, we wanted Iridium and Iridium Pro to be competitive in terms of price and performance and unmatchable in terms of reliability and endurance – says Wiesław Wilk, CEO of Wilk Elektronik.

Iridium SSD is available in capacities of 120GB, 240GB and 480GB and Iridium Pro in capacities of 240GB, 480GB and 960GB. Baseline speed for both drives achieves up to 560 MB/s for read and 530 MB/s for write. Maximum random transfer (IOPS) for Iridium and Iridium Pro can achieve up to 86 000/100 000 IOPS for read and 91 000/90 000 IOPS for write. Both drives utilize up to 1GB DDRL3 cache. All Iridium SSD come with 7mm slim housing and 2,5mm spacer . The warranty has been set at 3 years for Iridium and 5 years for Iridium PRO.
